For learners preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English exams, or another English-language assessment.

Exam preparation overview

Preparation shaped around the exam, the learner, and the deadline

ABOUT THE SUPPORT

Exam preparation with Arina is designed around the learner’s current level, target result, exam format, and available timeframe. The work may focus on writing, speaking, reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, timing, exam strategy, or a specific task type that needs attention.

The aim is not to move through practice papers mechanically. Preparation begins by understanding what the exam requires and where the learner currently stands, then building a focused plan for the skills and language areas that matter most.

For some learners, this means structured IELTS preparation. For others, it may mean preparing for TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English exams, or pursuing another exam-related goal.

What preparation can include

Language, strategy, timing, and feedback

KEY ELEMENTS

Diagnostic work

Arina first looks at the learner’s goal, exam type, current level, deadline, and any previous test experience.

Writing and speaking feedback

Written and spoken tasks can be reviewed to identify strengths, recurring problems, and the areas that need focused practice.

Exam task strategy

Lessons can focus on understanding the task, organising ideas, managing timing, and responding in the way the exam requires.

Language development

Preparation may include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking clearly and writing coherently.

How preparation works

A clear process before the first plan is made

Preparation begins by understanding the exam, the target result, the deadline, and the learner’s current level. Arina may review writing and speaking tasks before planning lessons, so the preparation can focus on the areas that need the most attention.

01
Clarify the exam goal

Arina begins by understanding which exam you are preparing for, what score or outcome you need, your deadline, and whether you have taken this or a similar test before.

02
Review writing and speaking

You may be asked to complete a writing task and a speaking task before the first lesson. This helps Arina understand your current level and prepare for the lesson in a more precise manner.

03
Build a focused preparation plan

Lessons are then shaped around the skills, task types, and language areas that need attention, with practice and feedback used to support steady progress.

Arina’s wider teaching background includes DELTA and CELTA qualifications, online and face-to-face teaching, and bespoke English courses delivered in Cambridge contexts.
